THE INTERMEDIATE ROLE OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE IN THE PROCESS OF BORROWING FROM ENGLISH INTO CHECHEN

Abstract
The article discusses the intermediate role of the Russian language in the process of borrowing of English words by the Chechen language. The aim of the study is to determine the degree of influence of the Russian language in the process of borrowing and development of words of English origin in the Chechen language. There is no doubt about the fact that the Russian language served as the language of interethnic communication in the Russian Federation and has a significant impact on linguistic and cultural processes of the peoples that inhabit it. Being the intermediary language, Russian language, borrows foreign lexemes, which are symbols and reflection of new realities and phenomena for the Russian people, and promotes its intensive usage by the peoples of the Russian Federation. The subject of our study is the vocabulary of English origin borrowed by Chechen language through Russian language. The article gives a brief analysis of the characteristics and stages of activation of English loan words in the Chechen language, the dynamics of its penetration, besides the reasons for their use and degree of development were grounded. We came to the conclusion that the new words do not immediately adapt fully in Chechen language, it requires some time and this is due to the fact that the semantic value of the majority of borrowings is precarious and takes on new connotations. Entering the Chechen language the word of English origin are adopted primarily to the rules of phonetics and morphology of the Russian language and often store them in the Chechen version.
