THE INVESTIGATION RESISTANCE TO WEAR THE SURFACE LAYER OF MATERIALS APPLIED ON THE ELEMENTS OF THE ENGINE OF COMBUSTION AFTER LASER TEXTURING

Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2010, Vol 233, Issue 5

Abstract

The results of laboratory investigations were introduced in the work in the range of the measurement of the coefficient of friction and resistance on waste in the conditions of the friction of the top layer of grey cast iron applied in the production of cylindrical funnels and solid 54 SiCr6 designed to nitrogenizing, applied in the production of piston collars. The top layer of the model units of the knot tribologycal was subjected the modification, using laser micromachining ablation: laser texturing, having on the aim of the improvement her macro- and microgeometry. The laser was applied to producing regular oil microcontainers in the shape halfbowl spherical and microchannels Nd: YAG with the special system of focussing. The topography of the surface shaped on the of the traditional processing mechanical road was subjected comparative audits and modified in the result laser micromachining. The investigative method was applied in laboratory audits tribological „pin on disk” in the support about T-11. The best effects in the range of decrease of the coefficient of the friction and the enlargement of the resistance on the waste was got in the case of model associating, in which the elements of the knot laser texturing near the well-chosen parameters of laser processing in geometrical arrangement with the degree of the cover the friction were subjected 25 % approx.
