Journal Title: Chorzowskie Studia Polityczne - Year 2017, Vol 14, Issue
Abstract
The chapter aims to unveil the situation of transgender and non-binary people in Poland while describing social realities from the perspective of the hetero- and cisnormativity margins. The issue of transgender visibility is framed in an analysis of linguistic, legal, social and cultural aspects of transgender lives. Visibility is perceived as a primary tool in the strife for transgender people’s rights and for the improvement of their living conditions.
