THE JUBILEE OF 50TH ANIVERSARY OF RESEARCH, DIDACTIC AND MEDICAL ACTIVITY OF HENRYK KUŃSKI MD

Abstract
Medicine Doctor Henryk Kuński on 28th May 2005 had 50th anniversary of research, didactics and professional activity. His main area is sports medicine and health-related fitness. He was an initiator of establish Sports Medicine Laboratory at Internal Medicine Institute of Medical Academy in Lodz in 1975. He was a head of the laboratory for 23 years. In his scientific achievements dr. H. Kuński has a lot of original and review articles as well as books. He educated large numbers of sports medicine doctors and research workers (PhD and professors). He was a honorary member of Polish Association of Sports Medicine. He is the most experienced in area of health related fitness of adult people in Poland. He managed to complete 10 marathon races. His live passion is sports medicine history and its pioneers. According to his very important achievements dr. H. Kuński is recognized as a very outstanding representative of sports medicine in Poland. In this presentation we will try to summary the major achievements of distinguished doctor.
