The legal status of the Audit Chamber of Ukraine

Abstract
The article deals with the procedure for the creation, operation and competence of the Audit Chamber of Ukraine, its role and place in the system of regulation of audit activity in Ukraine. The double legal status of the Audit Chamber of Ukraine as an independent self-governing body and a non-profit organization is determined. The main changes in the legal status of the Audit Chamber of Ukraine stipulated in the draft laws “On Audit Activity” dated April 3, 2015, № 2534, and “On the Audit of Financial Statements and Audit Activities” dated February 3, 2017, № 6016.
