The Level of Noise Pollution in University Campuses Administered by the University of 1 December 1918 in Alba Iulia
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2016, Vol 39, Issue 4
Abstract
Sound pollution is becoming a major problem because of multiplying sources of noise. In this study, I will present the results of the noise measurements carried out in the four campuses of the 1 Decembrie 1918 University in Alba Iulia. Initially the noise level was measured at several points in the university campuses and the main sources of noise were identified. Finally, solutions have been sought to mitigate noise so that noise levels remain below the maximum allowable limits in order to create normal learning and resting conditions for students staying in these campuses.

Improving the Powerful Behavior of an Experimental Model of Savonius Turbine (S-Rotor) with Coupled Aerodynamic Additional Blades
The proposed experimental model brings an improvement in the start of turbine rotation and torque uniformity in load. Constructively, the original blades of the turbine have gap and overlay. Additional blades are placed...
Obtaining and Tensile Strength Study for Non-Precious Alloys Based Cobalt
This paper presents aspects of obtaining non-precious dental alloys of Co-Cr-Mo alloys system and experimental tests to determine tensile strength, carried on standard flat specimens.
The Authentification of Old Bronze Coins and the Structure of the Archaeological Patina
This paper presents comparative results concerning the chemical composition and mineralogical distribution of the main compounds from the structure of the archaeological patina of ancient bronze coins, which were determi...
Analysis Frequencies of a Vibration-Type Structure Hall
Its main purpose was to identify natural vibration frequencies for a warehouse type structure in order to avoid resonance phenomena of the structure. The analysis is performed using the finite element analysis module of...
Coatings Systems: Chromium Carbide, Nitride and Carbonitride
The process of the chemical deposition from vaporous implies the adsorption of the mobile atoms (monomers) on the substrate surface, their migration with embryos and stable nucleus formation, followed up by further growt...
