THE MAGIC OF LITERATURE AND THEATER – FORGOTTEN CONCEPTS IN THE THERAPY AND THE SUPPORT FOR HEALTHY AND ILLNESS-AFFECTED CHILD

Abstract
This article is devoted to the role and the meaning of literature and theatre in elementary education. The dynamics of changes in education systems and demands directed at contemporary education make the issues referred to in the title marginalized, which is noticeable in the planning of the teachers’ methodology, as well as in the area of educational practice implemented at school. This study, citing the most important processes occurring in a child’s life, pays attention to the educational and cognitive, but also therapeutic and supportive, potential of the literature and theatre and the possibilities of their usage in elementary education of the healthy and illness-affected child.<br/><br/>
