Journal Title: Journal of the Human and Social Science Researches - Year 2017, Vol 6, Issue 1
Abstract
This study aimed to examine the mediating role of marital adjusment in the relationship between general psychological health and life satisfaction with structural equation model. The study included 444 (371 female, 73 male) at least one year of married person. General Health Questionnaire, Marital Adjustment Scale, and Life Satisfaction Scale were used to collect data. The proposed theoretical model was tested by Structural Equation Model. LISREL 8.80 and SPSS-21 statistical programmes were used to analyze the data. First, measurement models for each of the variables were explored. The results of a Structural Equation Model Test was showed that fit compatibility indices of the model, produced a good compatibility and the coefficients obtained were significant. The mediating role of marital adjusment in the relationship between general psychological health and life satisfaction was found to be a partial mediating role.
