THE METHODICAL APPROACH TO UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE OF THE HEURISTIC TASK

Abstract

The concept of heuristic problem as non-standard problem is researched. It admits the independent formulation of the method of its solution, when in the process of searching a student finds himself in a situation of demonstration of his heuristic positions. The position of such tasks in modern philosophy of mathematics is determined in work. In the process of teaching of mathematics the heuristic tasks serve as a means of motivation, means of creating the problem situations. They are used as a means of designing the new mathematical tasks and situations, as a basis for the process of task development, as a means of hypotheses, guesses, conjectures construction. It is highlighted that the systems of heuristic tasks (they have high level of structural organization) are the effective means of students’ purposeful mathematical development. They form and develop cognitive independence, activity, interest, world outlook and other personal characteristics. All these aspects correspond to modern demands to students’ mathematical education.
