THE METHODS OF TEACHING UKRAINIAN (AS A SECOND AND A FOREIGN LANGUAGE) FOR INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS (IDPs) AS A COMPONENT OF THE ADAPTATION PROCESS OF THE IDPs IN THE UKRAINIAN-SPEAKING ENVIRONMENT

Abstract
The article deals with the problems of linguistic, sociocultural, social and psychological adaptation of internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the Crimea peninsula, Luhansk and Donetsk regions in the western Ukraine. The social and psychological approaches to defining the essential characteristics of adaptation of IDPs into Ukrainian-speaking environment are analyzed. On the basis of statistical survey about the level of integration of IDPs in a new community, conducted by the Razumkov Centre, the distinctive features of the integration process of internally displaced persons from the East of Ukraine and from the Crimean peninsula are determined. The main factors, that promote the rapid language adaptation of internally displaced persons in the Ukrainian-speaking environment, such as «masking factor», professional and motivational factor and valuable and motivational one are defined in the article. The basic forms and methods of teaching Ukrainian (as a second and a foreign language) for IDPs in accordance with their age peculiarities, professional and communicative competence and the level of sociocultural integration are discovered. The specifics of teaching Ukrainian at the free-paying courses for internally displaced persons are analyzed.
