THE NOTION AND CONTENT OF THE CATEGORIES «MERGER» AND «ACQUISITION» IN THE NATIONALAND FOREIGN LEGISLATION: COMPARATIVE AND LEGALASPECT

Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the essence of the categories «merger» and «acquisition» in the national and foreign legislation. The author analyzes the provisions of the legal acts of the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, which set the definitions of the concepts of «merger» and «acquisition». The author also investigated questions of correlation of categories «merger», «acquisition» and «takeover» in the Ukrainian and foreign legislation.
