Journal Title: The Journal of International Social Research - Year 2018, Vol 11, Issue 55

Abstract

In this study, it is intended to determine the creativity of foreign teachers in the field of learning / teaching of French and its effect on the motivation of Turkish learners to overcome the obstacle of "Telaffuz" (adequate and accurate pronunciation of letters and words). In Turkey, the obstacle of "Telaffuz" in the learning / teaching of French is a factor of distance and stigmatization of French in its choice as a second language both in public and / or private universities and in French language centers and private teaching of foreign languages. The study was conducted according to the investigative model. The subject group of the study included foreign French teachers in private foreign language teaching centers in the city of Bursa (Turkey). As a result, a form of semi-structured interview was administered, the resulting data were pooled, and content analysis was performed on the data collected. As a result of the study, it is determined that the creativity and strategies of solving the « Telaffuz » obstacle of foreign teachers are modeled on « the personal experience of learning the Turkish language ».
