Journal Title: Edukacja Muzyczna - Year 2018, Vol 13, Issue 13
Abstract
The paper presents a brief chronological overview of the development of the state primary art education since the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic. Gradual modifications of the primary art education are mapped depending on internal transformations and the conditions of its functioning are herein summarized. A great attention is paid to the contemporary state-administered primary art schools, especially in terms of their internal organization, their exclusive position in the system of Czech art education and specificity in the way how their key competences are conceived.
