The Peasant Houses of Marginea, Suceava County (Romania)

Abstract
The article highlights the features of the peasant houses of Marginea, during the twentieth century, in connection with the social and private life of the household. These houses, today fewer and fewer, due to the phenomenon of international migration, are characteristic of the cultural identity of the region, being an objectification of practices and mentalities of a passing rural world in danger of disappearing. The article is based on a case study of a Romanian village strongly influenced by international migration.
