The peculiarities of functional load of aromatonyms

Abstract
The given article focuses on the functional load of aromatonyms, analyzes various functions of proper names, among which active and passive ones are distinguished. Active include informative and expressive functions. Cognitive and accumulative functions refer to passive ones. It is established that aromatonyms perform only one linguistic function of individualization, or nominative-identificationdifferentiating. As for speech functions, aromatonyms are able to perform an emotiveexpressive function. Regarding extralinguistic functions, aromatonyms can perform informative-advertising, suggestive, encantative and cultural-symbolic functions.
