THE PECULIARITIES OF MEDICAL INSURANCE AT NON-PROFIT BASIS: INTERNATIONAL ASPECT

Abstract
The activity of insurance societies, carrying out medical insurance at non-profit basis in developed countries of the world is investigated. The range of services, offered by them is analyzed, and the factors of their economic efficiency are determined. The role of the International Association of Mutual Health Societies (AIM) in transforming non-profit insurers into influential participants of the insurance relations is clarified. The opportunity of applying the foreign experience of insurance at a non-profit basis in Ukraine is substantiated in order to reach the widest coverage of the population by medical insurance within a difficult economic situation in the country.
