THE PECULIARITIES OF SPERMATOGENESIS HORMONAL REGULATION IN LABORATORY ANIMALS AFTER ACUTE EXPOSURE OF PELVIS WITH IONIZING RADIATION

Abstract

The research was devoted to studying the post-radiation effects of rat pelvis acute exposure with gamma-rays in the range 1,0 – 7,0 Gy on the peculiarities of spermatogenesis hormonal regulation in the different intervals of post-radiation period lasting 7 – 45 days. It has been shown that the single dose acute gamma-irradiation of sexual organs caused the elevation of pituitary gonadotropins (FSH and LH) in the blood of animals. Simultaneously the raise of es-tradiol concentration concurrently with testosterone blood level abatement was observed. Meanwhile inhibin B and anti-Mullerian hormone tended to decrease compared to control. The development of hormonal disbalance in a said direction enhanced proportionally with the increase of post-radiation period duration and was directly dependent on the radiation dose mean value. Consequently, the established phenomenon attained its maximum manifestation by 45th day of post-radiation period after exposure with gamma-rays in the dose 7,0 Gy.
