THE PLACE OF CULTURE IN THE "WAVE MODEL" OF HISTORICAL CHANGES

Abstract
The article analyzes the concept of the "wave" model of E. Toffler history. The main position of the study is fixation and characterization of the three "waves" of history. With the "third wave", modernity arises, with its syncretism, fusion of different, previously separate spheres of human activity: politics, religion, science, culture, etc. A vision of the general panorama of the rhythm of history not only gives the opportunity for E. Toffler to have formulated the mechanism of such a rhythm, but clearly fixes the conditions of historical and cultural transformations (the weak side of such a methodology is the minimization of the importance of spontaneous and creative in the process of history). Technological, informational, future orientation, understanding that knowledge is the main value, in contrast to strength or wealth - these are the main features of the "third wave".
