THE POSSIBILITY OF IMPLEMENTATION OF DSS IN THE PROCESS OF MAINTENANCE OF MACHINERY

Abstract
This paper presents a project of creating a system of preventive maintenance of vehicles, which was done at the request of the Association of transport companies of Novi Pazar and financed by ABC Investment Corporation that is conducting international projects in Serbia. For them, this team for making information system has carried out a pilot study on the needs, trends, periodicals failures and define the terms of preventive maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment. The collected data are defining parameters of assumed failures and defines the point of risk. With collected parameters, the team defined deadlines and ways of performing changes or reparation of parts. All collected data are integrated into the information system by applying parameters and functions of permanent synchronous operation to environment changes with changes in the parameters of maintenance of machinery and equipment. The system is organized as a DSS with the sector to enter data on machines, emergency breakdowns and terms of prevention and forced repair, the sector of parameters for calculations and functions, as well as the sector in reporting and an order for preventive services. In the paper is presented a method of operating the information system through the development phases. Finally, in the paper, it is presented the final solution with concrete examples from practice.
