The Precariat as a Threat to Global Security at the Turn of the XX and XXI Century

Abstract
The author describes how the threat to global security at the turn of the century is associated with the modern alienation of labour (economic alienation as a manifestation of intensified social indifference). The experience of The Precariat is economic and social exclusion, alienation, anxiety, anomie, and growing anger. In extreme cases, The Precariat is sometimes considered a modern form of slavery. Global expansion of the precariat undermines democracy, increases conformism, egoistic passivity, xenophobia, conservatism, and political radicalism, consequently, a considerable threat to global security.
