THE PREFIXATIONAL REPETITIONS OF PASSIVE PARTICIPLES IN THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

Journal Title: Мова - Year 2014, Vol 0, Issue 21

Abstract

In the article the complicated prefixational repetitions of passive participles are examined. They specialize in transfer of multiplicity and intensity meanings The repetitions with prefixes iz-(is-), raz-(ras-), o-, ne- and za- were traced, however prefix pere- with the meaning «the repetition of the actions from the very beginning, again or in the other way» prevails in the reduplikators, due to the better appropriation of the meaning of prefix to the meaning of repetition in the whole. In the structure of reduplication the verbs’ basis of physical action are dominant. Repetitions duplicate the lexical verb compatibility, develop their compatibility which is not specific for motivator, and form the new meaning. As a rule, the lexical units under consideration are connected with the object actant, but in the contexts the subjective actant in Accusative case and sirkonstants with the quantitative semantics appear, they serve for strengthening the characteristic of intensity.
