THE PROBLEM OF FIRST AUTHORSHIP NEOLOGISMS IN THE MODERN UKRAINIAN DISCOURSE
Journal Title: Scientific journal «International Journal of Philology» - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 281
Abstract
The article analyzes the problem of the first authorship of neologisms in the newest poetic discourse. It is found that the emergence of identical innovations in the creation of several authors is associated with the concepts of literary influence and / or literary imitation. Two types of literary influence have been identified such as direct personal influence of one author on another (as I. Pavliuk on O. Pukhonska) and non-personal (literary) influence (as L. Kostenko and M. Vinhranovsky on I. Pavliuk). It is revealed that the direct personal influence of one author to another is also embodied at the level of language creation in general and word-creation in particular. On the basis of violation of the functional disposable principle of author neologisms the concept of creation and reproduction of innovations is distinguished. That is, taking into account the chronological aspect of the study of innovations, the date of the creation of the neologism is considered the time of it earliest use in the poetic context, the use in later poetic writings – the conscious / unconscious reproduction of innovation. On the basis of a comparison of poems by Andriy Nayuk and I. Pavliuk, the problem of quasi-first-authoring of some neologisms was emphasized. In particular, it is a question of fixing certain new words in the poetry of the author – a literary mystification, later taken under the real name of the poet. According to statistical calculations in the case of neologisms I. Pavliuk, more than 20 innovations, previously recorded in the creation of other poets, have been witnessed. To find out the first authorship of these neologisms, a lingvo-poetic experiment was used, during which I. Pavliuk was invited to introduce neologisms, which were recorded in the works of several authors, to new contexts. With the help of the method of lingvo-poetic experiment, hypotheses concerning the authorship of some neologisms, which occur in the creation of several authors of the XX–XXI centuries, have been put forward. For the reliability of the results, the method of intertextual examination, elements of stylistics and comparative studies is involved, semantic approximation and synergistic connections of neologisms in the original and experimental contexts are outlined.
