THE PROBLEM OF IMPRESSION AS A DEFINING COMPONENT OF THE THEORY OF KNOWLEDGE BY D.HUME

Abstract
The studies involvethe philosophical viewsof D. Hume and John Locke. A centerpiece of D. Hume’s system of philosophyis the cognitive theory, which focuses on the concept of impression. He is convinced that it is the human experience which becomes existent as an impression and this impression is being realized in the world through (via) human existence.The modern world,in its turn, as the world view is formed by means of understanding one’s own experience and impressions, which in a whole, correlates with sensual concept of experience according to John Locke and D. Hume’s skeptical philosophy of human nature. Moreover, almost all Hume’s philosophy is created as a theory of knowledge describing the facts of consciousness and transforming (turning) sensation into the absolute «source» of knowledge.
