THE PROBLEM OF MIXING THE LUBRICATING OIL AND REFRIGERANT IN FRICTION NODES OF REFRIGERATION COMPRESSORS

Abstract
Lubricant oil in refrigeration installation should fulfil some basic requirements (lubrication, sealing, cooling parts). Moreover, lubricant oil should behave in an appropriate way to in contact with the refrigerant. In friction nodes of refrigeration compressors is almost always the mixture of lubricant oil with refrigerant. The form of this mixture depends on a few parameters like temperature pressure and mixture composition. The mixture can consist of two miscible liquid phases, two immiscible liquid phases, or gas refrigerant dissolved in liquid lubricant oil. The wear value of moving parts in refrigeration compressors depends on the type of mixture that lubricates friction nodes. This paper presents the influence of changing parameters on the type of refrigerant with lubricant oil mixture as well as different charts to define the quality of this mixture.
