The problem of providing rolling stock stability in the railway

Abstract

Actuality of work. The ability of railway transport to protect the lives of passengers, the safety of cargo and the environment as a whole determines its development and achievement of its leading positions in the transportation market. The most important problem in railway transport is ensuring the safety of the movement of rail vehicles, both at the design stage and during their operation. At the same time, prevention of accidents and gatherings on the railways is a priority. The level of safe operation of rolling stock on railways is determined, to the main extent, by the availability of a reserve of stability of the rail crew. Therefore, the study of the is-sue of the descent of rail vehicles from the railway track is of great importance in many experi-mental and theoretical studies. The correct definition of the safety assessment from the derail-ment of the wheel will solve one of the most important problems in railway transport, namely the safety of the movement of rail vehicles. Therefore, there is a need to analyze and compare ap-proaches to assessing safety from the derailment of rolling stock used in different countries. This in turn will help to identify their shortcomings and advantages, will make it possible to make recommendations on improving the method of assessing the stability of rail vehicles on the rail-ways of Ukraine. Purpose. The purpose of this work is to systematize the work of domestic and foreign scientists on the issue of safety assessment from the derailment of wheels from rails. To consider and analyze the analytical conditions for rolling the wheel ridge on the rail head during forensic rail-transport examinations. Originality. For the first time systematization of the work of domestic and foreign scientists was devoted to the issue of assessing the safety of the east of the wheel from the rail, taking into account the problems that arise during forensic rail-transport examinations. Practical value. The systematization of the work of domestic and foreign scien-tists in assessing the stability of rolling stock will allow us to more accurately assess the im-portance of all methods and approaches, identify their shortcomings and advantages, and make recommendations for improving the method for assessing the stability of rail vehicles on Ukrain-ian railways. The correct definition of the safety assessment from the east of the wheel from the rail will solve one of the most important problems in railway transport, namely, ensuring the safety of the movement of rail vehicles, both at the design stage and during their operation.
