THE PROBLEM OF ROMANTICISM DEFENITION: HISTORIOGRAPHIC ASPECT

Abstract
Different theoretical justifications of Romanticism by art and culture experts of the 20th – 21st centuries are demonstrated. Particular attention is paid to the historiography of literary and musicological works, which are peculiar for similar and different approaches to the Romanticism conceptualization. The reasons of the differences of the Romanticism definitions in the works of different art scholars are defined. Art experience of Romanticism definition investigation is systematized. Contemporary tendencies of the Romanticism problematic examination are defined.
