THE PROBLEM OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE HOTEL ENTERPRISES UNDER EXISTING CONDITIONS 

Abstract

The subject of the article is the areas of social responsibility of the hospitality management enterprises; the objective is the justification of the importance of the social responsibility of modern enterprises, definition of the main directions of its implementation by enterprises of hotel industry; research methods: comparison, analysis and synthesis, theoretical generalization – to clarify the economic categories, the understanding of the essence of "the social responsibility"; logical modeling for details and systematization of methods of implementation of the concept of the social responsibility development and others. The results of the research. The main obstacles to implement the concept of the social responsibility, first of all, in the hotel enterprises are identified. The positive effects from the introduction of the concept of the social responsibility for business are noticed. Methods of implementation of the concept of the social responsibility development in the hotel enterprises in the context of external and internal groups are considered. A wide range of activities in the framework of the concept of the social responsibility towards employees is presented. The key trends in implementation of the responsibility of hotel enterprises to society are shown. The practical significance of the results lies in the possibility of using the findings and recommendations in the hotel industry enterprises to ensure their sustainable development. Conclusion. Domestic enterprises of the hotel industry must be socially responsible, that is, to pay promptly and in full the taxes, to meet the requirements of the legislation of Ukraine, to provide quality services, to care about the environment, staff, to implement environmentally friendly and energy-saving technologies, to participate in charitable projects, etc. Such actions, in spite of a certain violation of the principle of profit maximization, create a favorable long-term prospects, enhance the image and reputation of the company and, as a consequence, the commitment of the consumers, its financial and economic performance, financial stability and competitiveness, contribute to overcoming the crisis in society and is a necessary condition for the functioning of the economy of the region and country.
