THE PROBLEM OF SPIRITUAL RESISTANCE IN THE SHORT STORY «ROKSOLANA» BY LEONID MOSENDZ

Abstract
The short story «Roksolana» by L. Mosendz is analysed in the article, similarity of author's point of view in the depiction of the Ukranian history with the representatives of the Prague school is revealed. The functions of framing in discovering the idea are investigated. The characters are described through the prism of narrator’s perception. Specific features of author’s approach to the depiction of Roksolana’s complex are commented. It is indicated, that main motive of the short story is to establish the idea of effective patriotism. Prospects of the study of short stories by Leonid Mosendz are specified, because it contributes to the formation of strong national oriented identity type in the Ukrainian society.
