THE PROBLEM OF THE INTUITIVE KNOWLEDGE IN B. SPINOZA’S PHILOSOPHY
Journal Title: Вісник Львівського університету - Year 2017, Vol 12, Issue
Abstract
This article discusses the problem of intuitive knowledge in the philosophical system of B. Spinoza. This so-called third kind of knowledge has universal disposition. According to the author, “scientia intuitive” is nothing else than the unity of intellectual and thought process. This is the principle that should bind the infinite (God) and the end (human) as a whole. Understanding this system a person acquires as eternal and perfect knowledge. Therefore, Spinoza says that intuitive knowledge is achieved under the form of eternity. In other words, this cognition is the knowledge of God or of substance.
