THE PROTECTION OF FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS IN THE EUROPEAN UNION AFTER THE LISBON TREATY

Abstract
!is article attempts to presentation changes in system of protection of fundamental rights in EU a"er the entry into force of the TL. Under its provisions, indicated system includes two levels. !e #rst, which ranged from 1969 to the date of entry into force of the TL. It is based on the Charter of Fundamental Rights and the protection of fundamental rights as general principles of EU law. !e second refers to the achievements of the Council of Europe. Discussed the base of accession and the most important, according to the author, provisions of the accession agreement.<br/><br/>
