THE REFLECTION OF THE TENDENCIES OF THE POETRY OF EVERYDAY LIFE AND OF THE NEW SUBJECTIVITY IN THE TEXTS OF THE CONTEMPORARY GERMAN FEMALE POETRY

Abstract
The transformation processes in the German lyrics of the 70s are studied through the analysis of the contemporary female artists’ poetic texts. In the middle of the 60s, some powerful societal transformations were taking place in Germany. As a result, the hermetic poetry and the forms connected with it were gradually losing their mainstream position. The new generation of artists tried to contradict the influence of mass culture and propaganda by introducing new forms into poetry. The denial of hermeticism with its accumulation of stylistic devices and the appearance of Alltagslyrik – ‘the poetry of everyday life’– become the most prominent tendencies in the poetry of the period. Being a new trend, Alltagslyrik concentrated on stressing the sensual experience of a separate subject placed into the situational frames of everyday life. This study allows the conclusion that the essence of the poetry of everyday life and of ‘the new subjectivity’ lies in the radically controversial and, simultaneously, productive and subjective destruction of the traditional lyrics sources. At the same time, the authors and the critics generate a new idea concerning the transformation of the relations within the society. According to them, as a consequence, these relations should have reflected the acceptance of the reality by a separate individual.
