“THE REFLECTIONS OF “BEING MEVLEVI” FROM THE POINT OF TWO MEVLEVIS POETS IN TURKISH LITERATURE IN THE 18TH CENTURY”

Abstract

Being a Mevlevi, which is a sufistic structure that highly affected our culture and literature, had been observed in places qualified as “provinces” in Ottoman Empire. “Manisalı Birrî Mehmed Dede” and “Tokatlı Kânî” are divan poets who has been nurtured with Mevlevi culture and who has adopted this culture. In our study, the reflections of Mevlevi culture will be discussed from the point of these two Mevlevi poets.
