THE RESULTS OF ULTRASOUND SANITIZATION OF ACUTE PILONIDAL ABSCESSES

Abstract

The results of estimation of effective ultrasound sanitization of acute sacrococcygeal pilonidal abscesses are presented in the article. 18 (38.3%) patients consist of the main group which were conducted urgent ultrasound sanitization of abscess’ cavity with using apparatus Sonoca (Soring, Germany). 29 (61.7%) patients consist of the control group which were treated by traditional surgical methods. It has proved, that ultrasound sanitization of acute pilonidal abscess’ cavity in patients with pilonidal sinus make it possible to substantially reduce (p=0,002) term of preparing patients to radical operative treatment, to shorten (p<0.002) term of temporary disability, to reduce (p<0.05) of duration of antibacterial therapy.
