The role of cultural clusters in the development of cities

Abstract
The subject of the study is cultural clusters as a centers for the development of culture and urban economics. The purpose of the article is to analyze the role of the cultural CLUSTER in the development of cultural and creative industries. The methodology of the work is based on the usege of an interdisciplinary approach for the study of the culture role in the development of economic systems. At the heart of research is the theory of creative economy, which is based on the concept of cultural and creative industries, creative city and creative class. The method of abstraction and generalization is used in the work for revealing the essence and specific characteristics of cultural clusters. The system analysis was used in the course of illustrating the relationship between culture, economics and improving the welfare of the population. In general, work is sustained in the traditions of the civilization paradigm. The results of the work: the importance of culture for the development of the city was analyzed. The main prerequisites for the transformation and development of urban infrastructure are identified in accordance with the needs of the creative class. Dedicated characteristic features of cultural clusters, as economic and cultural centers. Conclusions: the modern Ukrainian economy requires new approaches and strategies for further development. There is a question of revitalization and reprofiling of industrial regions. The creation of clusters, the creation of a symbolic urban landscape can become a strategic economic tool.
