THE ROLE OF IMF IN CRISIS MANAGEMENT

Abstract
The article defines the functions of the IMF and analyzes the effectiveness of their implementation. The features of IMF credit policy are investigated. It is carried out an analysis of the effectiveness of the IMF in terms of anti-crisis regulation. The problem aspects in the work of the IMF have been identified. It has been caused by changes in the world economy. It was concluded that the recent global financial crisis showed the IMF's failure to predict the onset of financial crises, minimize their impact on the economies of the countries and set the task for them to carry out structural reforms and increase the effectiveness of their activities.
