THE ROLE OF KSHARSUTRA OF DIFFERENT NUMBER OF COATING IN THE MANAGEMENT OF BHAGANDARA W.S.R TO FISTULA IN ANO

Abstract
Fistula in ano is most commonly found ano-rectal disorder. It is still remaining a challenge to modern surgery due to high recurrence rate, incontinence, and long term hospitalization of patients with painful dressing but in Ayurveda Ksharsutra treatment is the best for all type of fistula in ano due to less chances of recurrence, incontinence, minimal scar formation, the method is safe and free from any complication. In this study total 90 patients selected and distributed randomly in 3 groups i.e. Group A, Group B and Group C. It was found that the rate of cutting and healing of fistulous tract by using Ksharsutra of 21 coating was found to be higher than Ksharsutra of 14 coating and Ksharsutra of 7 coating and it was statistically significant. Therefore Ksharsutra of 21 coating is the best for treatment of Bhagandara.
