Journal Title: Analele Universitatii „Eftimie Murgu” din Resita. Fascicola de Stiinte Social-Umaniste - Year 2016, Vol 0, Issue 1
Abstract
The practise of physical exercises and its importance, having in view the maintenance of the optimal health state, was appreciated since the ancient times. A very important characteristic in the life of modern people which brings a great difference as compared to people’s life in the past, is the decreased level of practising physical exercise. The modern man, due to the advanced technology and the technical means available, has fewer situations where the body was solicited to do physical exercises. The paper hypothesis: We have started from the premises that movement, correct alimentation and doing physical exercises beneficially influence health and the sedentariness, inappropriate alimentation, the exaggerated consumption of alcohol and smoking have negative effects. The paper purpose: to precisely establish and define the factors which influence health: blood pressure, cardiac frequency (cardiac output) and also to prove statistical calculations of a better health state of the students at the specialization Physical Education and Sport (PES) as compared to those in other specializations. Conclusions and proposals: the students in the specialization PES who practise physical exercises are healthier and less predisposed to certain diseases in the future.
