Abstract
The subject of this paper is focalization (changing angle of view) and using it in work with preschool children. It is also discussed about the role of teachers in using of focalization to encourage the development of speech and language creativity of children. The theoretical framework is complemented by original case studies, as well as the linguistic creations of children which are product of using focalization in kindergarten. It was made a research to obtain a clearer picture of the implementation of this method in practice from the perspective of preschool teachers. The questionnaire of 5 questions of closed type were completed by 36 educators from preschools in Zemun, Vršac and Crepaja (R Serbia) in 2015. The results, among other things, showed that 75% of the surveyed teachers use focalization processing of literary works in kindergarten, 77.8% of teachers believe that changing the angle of view encourage children to play more with words and create in language and form, and 83.3%of respondents believe that children using the focalization improve vocabulary and their language skills. More than half of the teachers (55.5%) think that there are not enough professional and methodical literature which explicit (direct) deal with the issue of using focalization in practice. We concluded that the focalization from the perspective of teachers, perceived as a very successful method for stimulating the development of children's speech and language production. We believe that the results, theoretical review and examples can serve as a strong impetus for further research and new professional and methodical work with a focus on the implementation of focalization in working with preschool children, both in our and in neighboring countries.
