THE ROLE OF PROTOTYPING AND SIMULATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS OF AN ELASTIC COUPLING WITH FLEXIBLE MEMBRANES
Journal Title: Journal of Industrial Design and Engineering Graphics - Year 2015, Vol 10, Issue 2
Abstract
In the conditions of a competitive market, the use of 3D modelling, visualisation and simulation tools enable the entire coupling to be designed and developed in the pre-manufacturing phase. Several advantages of introducing virtual prototyping are offered. The goal for the coupling prototype is to answer questions about performance and reliability in order to identify necessary engineering changes for the final coupling variant. Facilitating the virtual reality communication capability, different variations of the geometry and other characteristics can be studied and discussed in a more efficient mode. Virtual features of the coupling structure are described and analysed for the efficient realization of coupling project. At the end, the paper presents design simulations to prove the behaviour and functionality of the coupling for different operational scenarios: mechanical stress, buckling stability and modal analysis.

A WAY TO BUILD A LOGO BY USING SIGNS AND SYMBOLS
Signs and symbols find a very good place in this paper, because of the working process to design a logo concerning these elements. The title of my paper describes what is our purpose concerning logos. A lot of signs or s...
CONTEMPORARY DESIGN CONCEPTS IN CAMOUFLAGE: UNIVERSAL VERSUS SPECIALIZED
In present days there is a strong influence of the concept incorporating increased use of low intensive colours and small “digitalized” form structures for modern army camouflage designs. It was proclaimed as a revolutio...
DESIGN OF CASING OF AN INDUCTION PROBE FOR BONE RESTAURATION ELECTROMAGNETIC BOOSTER
A design case study is presented, using the input user defined needs and an existing conceptual draft of an electromagnetic pulse emitter for medical use. Based on the existing data on the electromagnetic parameters, a d...
CONSIDERATIONS UPON DESIGNING MODULAR CONSTRUCTIONS FOR IMPROVING THE PRODUCTS ASSEMBLING, MAINTENANCE AND RECYCLING PROCESSES
Modular constructions are frequently used in industry because of their multiple advantages. Used from the antiquity as a measuring system that ensured good proportions for the objects or buildings, the module is used in...
