The Role of the ECG in the Prediction of the Formation of Chronic Pulmonary Heart Disease in Children with Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia
Journal Title: Здоров`я дитини - Year 2013, Vol 5, Issue 48
Abstract
We observed 130 patients aged 1 to 36 months with a diagnosis of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). It is found that children with bronchopulmonary dysplasia have tachycardia (p < 0.05) and electrical axis deviation to the right (p < 0.05) in the first year of life. In children with bronchopulmonary dysplasia initially dilatation of the right atrium (p < 0.05) occurs. Right ventricular hypertrophy appears only in 2/3 children with BPD from the 2nd year of life, and correlates with severe course of disease (r = 0.675; p < 0.05). In the prognosis of chronic pulmonary heart disease include electrocardiography persisting evidence are: tachycardia (F-5.58; lambda Wilks –0.854, P < 0.05), the sharpening of P wave in lead II (F-3.6, lambda Wilks –0.835, P < 0,05), high R in V1 (F-3.1, lambda Wilks –0.830, p < 0.05); RV1 + SV5 > 10 mm (F-2.8; lambda Wilks –0.827, p < 0.05 ); R/S in V1 > 6.5 mm (F-1.01; lambda Wilks –0.809, p < 0.05).

Turner Syndrome: Phenotypic Variability of Chromosomal Polymorphism
Turner syndrome was firstly described by N. Shereshevskyi in 1925, and then by H. Turner in 1938. In 1959, Ch. Ford found that in patients with this syndrome one X chromosome is absent. The cause of this is that in the p...
