The role of the type of the intellect in the selection of the solutions for the problematic situations

Abstract
The issues discussed in this article are related to the consideration of the different types of intelligence. It is shown that in the educational environment students face various problematic situations during their cognitive activity. Problematic situations are mainly related to their professional choices. The goal finding the way to solve the problem situation is to form the students’ professional skills. The article also shows that the successful solution of the problematic situations faced by the students is related to the type of their intellect and the conformity of the profession chosen by them to their intellectual type. It is noted that although accurate diagnosis of the intellectual type is still impossible, there are some difficulties associated with the complexity of its structure. At present, in order to determine the structure of intelligence for testing in practice in sufficient quantity, test samples have been developed. In fact, all these tests are based on the structural models of intelligence and its various modifications. The study was aimed at studying the type of intellect. To this end, students were interviewed on the basis of a special test, and their intellectual types were determined. When the results were summarized, there were several discrepancies between the students’ professions and their intellectual type. Based on that, the author comes to the conclusion that it is desirable to begin to identify the intellectual type from adolescence and give students recommendations for the right choice of profession.
