THE ROLE OF UNIVERSITIES IN THE FORMATION OF SOCIAL CAPITAL IN THE REGION

Abstract
The article deals with the main approaches to the interpretation of the concept of «social capital», the allocation of its components – social networks, norms and trust. The author's definition of social capital. On the basis of studying the characteristics of social capital in the region defined by the direction of the impact of the activities of higher education institutions in the process of its formation.
