THE SECONDARY REFERENTIAL AND NON-REFERENTIAL CONTEXTS OF USAGE OF PRONOUN «VY» («YOU») IN VARIOUS TYPES OF DISCOURSES
Journal Title: Мова - Year 2014, Vol 0, Issue 22
Abstract
The article deals with different types of secondary referential and non-referential usage of Russian pronoun «VY» («you») in the indirect speech act, depending on the different types of discourse (oral/written, formal/informal, ordinary/artistic etc.), as well as on the different communicative situations and statuses of communicators. The author considers such secondary non-referential usage of «VY» («you») as «polite» VY, «ironic» VY (Nashе vаm s kistochkoj), unceremonious VY (for example, phrase to the woman who is a mother in the presence of her child: Ah, kak vy vyrosli), as well as non-referential uses of VY (existential, universal, generic) and a self-referencing (Pustoe vy serdechnym ty // Ona obmolvias’ zamenila…).
