The State of Research in Nigeria and The Way Forward.

Abstract

This study examined the state of research in Nigeria. The cross sectional survey method was employed in the six(6) geopolitical zones of Nigeria to generate respondents. Responses randomly generated from an electronic mail distributed structured questionnaire were analyzed. Findings include lack of a national research policy and absence of a nationally identifiable legal framework for the organization of research in Nigeria.
