THE STUDY ABOUT “SÜRH”RYHMED POEMS IN DIVAN LITERATURE

Abstract
In this article, the study of the “sürh” rhymed poems used in the Classical Ottoman Poetry and the topics mentioned by this rhyme are classified. After briefly mentioning the place of the term “sürh” which means reddisg couplets in Turkish İslamic Culture the theses and printed Divans about sürh ryhmed couplets found are studied under titles according to frequency of use. It is possible to say that sürh ryhmed poetry, red which is most vivid colour of Divan Poetry came out with beloved and beauty elements of beloved and the beauty elements of beloved, lover, social life and nature is sometimes amin and sometimes auxilary element.Colours are among the issues that affacts the various aspects of social science. Also Divan poet used the colours in his poems and benefited from red, especiallay as an icon. As the result of our review it was observed that the poets represented the abstract situation such as fire of love, seperation, heatache and events in red and represented the concrete situations as analogy (flowers, colours of lips and cheeks, ink, drink, valuable Stones, nature elements). Red was also used as a contrasing item with other colours, especially white and black.
