The study of teachers’ attitudes towards the newly published book at 7th grade high school (Prospect 1)

Abstract
The study evaluated the quality of the seventh grade English language textbook for Iranian state and non-profit schools. This research project evaluated a new textbook that was considered to be foundation stone in English language program in Iran. A survey questionnaire was used in this study to emit the viewpoints of 50 English language teachers in state and non-profit schools in Rasht. The data was subjected to analysis through descriptive studies. To probe the features of prospect the checklist was utilized to reveal the positive and negative characteristics of book. The results of this study could be beneficial for teachers to use suitable teaching techniques to compensate for the deficiencies of the textbook and the material developers in ministry of education and other pedagogical experts to revise the current textbook or adopt a new textbook instead.
