Abstract
The work is devoted to the determination of the brake linings temperature fields’ dependencies on the parameters of the lifting installation and the development of methodological recommendations for the valida tion of multi-channel hoisting machine brake parameters on the basis of the study of mechanical and thermal phenomena in shoe brakes with transla-tional movement of shoes. For the development of the analytical model, it was assumed that the pulley rotation was discrete, while the necessary braking power was determined for each step. As an example, the characteristics of the mine hoisting machine MPMN-5×4 were adopted, according to which a 3D model of the friction pulley in the SolidWorks software package for further studies of thermal processes was developed. Mechanical processes were modeled in the Mathcad program, and thermal processes were modeled in SolidWorks Sim-ulation. The dependences of braking power on each brake shoe against time for safety braking were determined. After carrying out a series of numerical experiments on the finite element model of the friction pulley, the dependences of the maximum temperatures on the speed of the cage during the descent and ascent, as well as on the thickness of the brake pulley rim, were obtained. It has been proved that the influence of non-axisymmetry is 4.7%, therefore, for an extended multi-cycle loading, an axisymmetric mechanical model of the transient non-stationary regime, which arises when the cage is repeat-edly raised and lowered was developed. After carrying out a series of numerical experiments on the axisymmetric finite element model of the friction pulley, the maximum temperature was obtained as a function of the running speed of the cage with the steady-state thermal regime, and also the dependence of the maximum temperature on the operating time of the lifting installation. From the analysis of the results it follows that the dependence of the maximum temperature of the brake rim on the operating t ime of the lifting installation is close to exponential, and starting from 78 minutes the thermal regime becomes steady and the tem-perature of braking rim reaches 64 ° C. Based on the results obtained, fabric brake linings such as BAC, ATU, GC were selected. It is proved that woven brake pads of type BAC, ATU, GC can be used in the conditions of operation of the shoe brake of the mine hoisting installation MPMN-5×4.
