THE THEORETICAL BASICS OF ORGANIZATIONAL-ECONOMIC MECHANISM OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE REGION

Abstract
Purpose is to analyze organizational-economic mechanism’s definitions by different economists and to examine the accordance of these mechanisms to idea of unity of social-environmental-economic sustainable development of the region. Methodology of research. The following general and special methods were used in the research: generalization, analysis and synthesis for studying the history of the mechanism’s concept using by economists; analysis, comparison, induction and deduction – in the review of mechanisms and organizational-economic mechanisms for its accordance to idea of unity of the triple conception of sustainable development; synthesis and abstraction – for forming own definition of organizational-economic mechanism of sustainable development of the region. Findings. On the grounds of analysis of mechanisms formulated by different economists, main parts of mechanisms were defined: instruments of influence are set or system of methods, tools, instruments, etc.; object component presented by state or local authorities; subjective component presented by business and citizens; and the purpose of the mechanism is providing an integrated sustainable development. It was found that some Ukrainian economists do not give enough attention to ensuring the unity of the triple conception of sustainable development, because of organizational-economic mechanisms defined by them includes only one or two components of social, environmental and economic development. This mistake is violating the conception of sustainable development. It was also formed the own definition of organizational-economic mechanism of sustainable development of the region. Originality. First proposed to scrutinize organizational-economic mechanism of sustainable development of the region from the standpoint of unity of integrated social, environmental and economic development and in unity of relationship between authorities, business and citizens under these three areas, in contradistinction to being, in some cases, understanding that the focus of mechanism of sustainable development or the region is directed only on environmental or environmental-economic development. Practical value. The results of research can be used for improving the theoretical basics of existing mechanism of sustainable development in Ukraine, and for further developing of organizational-economic mechanism for sustainable development in the region, according to the conception of integrated sustainable development and current legislation.
