The university researcher of the UPEL seen from the the ecological model

Abstract

Research constitutean essential function of all universities as sources of knowledge for the development of society, hence its fulfillment is regulated by several regulations. However, beyond its enforceability there are surroundings that affect this function. In that respect, this article aims to adapting Bronfenbrenner's ecological model to the educator's role as a researcher at the Pedagogical Experimental University Libertador / Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador (UPEL Venezuela). The methodology is that of adocumentary investigation, and different sources were analyzed: books, legislations, institutional regulations and research articles from which the information was taken to contextualize the ecological environments of the human development to the activities of the research professor. As a conclusion, it must be stated that the ecological model allows to understand, in a comprehensive manner, the different relations that occur during the investigative work. Therefore, the interaction between the levels of investigation: microsystem, mesosystem, macrosystem, exosystem and chronosystem impact the role of the educator in their role as a researcher because in that interaction are shown the limitations and the strengths to overcome the adversities and to show investigative resilience, these aspects must be considered when assessing the fulfillment of this university function
