THE URGENCY OF IMPLEMENTING THE COMPETENCE APPROACH IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGES AT THE UNIVERSITY

Abstract
The urgency of implementing the competence method in the process of teaching foreign languages at the university. Annotation: The article describes an approach for teaching foreign languages at a university. The concepts of "competence" and "competence" are considered. The conceptual bases of the competence approach in the teaching of a foreign language are analyzed. On the basis of the analysis of differences in the interpretation of the structure of competence, it is established that the basis for assuming the availability of knowledge, reliance on them and the relationship of competence with their use. An important emphasis was placed on the creation of modern scientific and methodological support for the educational process for the implementation of a competence approach in teaching foreign languages.
